The CKCSCBC helps rehome Cavaliers who are in need of finding new owners.  Dogs come to us from many sources.  Sometimes the owners are moving and cannot take their pet with them. Some owners have developed allergies and can no longer have a dog in the house. Some are strays who have been abandoned by their previous owners.  Our rescues have ranged in age from less than a year to older dogs of 8 to 10 years.

Sadly we cannot accept dogs with aggression issues although Cavaliers are usually such gentle creatures that we have never had to turn a dog away for this reason.  However we have had to turn away cross bred Cavaliers as our responsibility is only to purebred dogs.

As part of our rescue department we have a group of enthusiastic foster families who will care for a dog in their home until a new home is found.  Fortunately new homes are usually found quickly.
